Laby Harmony Project, a music-education program of New West Symphony, provides tuition-free, long-term after-school music instruction for children from underserved communities in Ventura. More than 150 students from eight local schools participate in a multi-year program led by professional teaching artists. Through instrumental instruction, ensemble rehearsals, music theory and performance opportunities, students develop their musical abilities while strengthening confidence, perseverance, teamwork and community connections. The program is designed to give young musicians consistent access to high-quality music education throughout their school years.
