Ventura Land Trust is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to permanently protecting the land, water, wildlife and scenic beauty of Ventura County. The organization preserves and restores thousands of acres of open space, including Harmon Canyon Preserve and Ventura Hills Nature Preserve, while creating opportunities for the community to explore and care for local natural areas. Families can enjoy hiking and biking trails, educational events, volunteer restoration projects and nature-based learning through Ventura Wild. The outdoor education program offers parent-and-child classes, forest preschool, homeschool and after-school programs, summer camps, field trips and other experiences for children and teens.
